The Town

Banbridge is a growing market town, 25 miles south of Belfast on the A1 in County Down with a charming friendly feel. The town has become a major centre for retail, along with visual arts/sculpture with the opening of the FE McWilliam Gallery and Studio in 2008, close to the retail outlet park on the edge of the town. Recently, Banbridge has been twinned with Ruelle in France.

Banbridge is classified as a Medium Town and on census day (2001) there were 14,744 people living in Banbridge. Banbridge District is a good location for anyone wanting to work, live and invest in an area that is experiencing exponential growth. With its strategic location, thriving population, good infrastructure, booming economy, flourishing housing market, high standard of health facilities and services, good record of educational achievement and strong community infrastructure, the area has much to offer.

The Campus

The Banbridge Campus which is located on the Castlewellan Road, set back off the road in leafy surroundings, is in a developing situation to meet the needs of the local economy. The Banbridge Campus is bustling with learners of all ages and hosts a wide range of events throughout the academic year.

The Banbridge campus is one of the smaller of the SRC campuses and as such has a warm, friendly, family feeling to it. Although small it contains everything a student needs to study and boasts the largest playing fields of any of the campuses.
