 HND Business StudentsIt is important that Newry and Mourne District Council track the opinions of its citizens to its services/functions on a regular basis. In order to facilitate this research the Council are working in partnership with HND Year One Business students at Southern Regional College Newry who are going to design and administer a citizen satisfaction survey within the Newry and Mourne District.

Undergraduate Building Challenge

 Undergraduate Building Challenge The beginning of the February saw Southern Regional College's Portadown campus host the CIOB Challenge. This undergraduate competition organised by the Chartered Institute of Building saw five different teams complete in the Northern Ireland divisional heats.

Each team was given a scenario which involved retrofit of a domestic dwelling which they developed into a costed proposal using the services of three expert consultants from Building Control, Xtratherm and NHBC.
