Students from the Bsc Business Studies degree program attended the "Experience in Business Talk" event hosted by Newry Junior Chamber on Thursday 8th December in the Canal Court.
Newry Junior Chamber decided to host these series of talks in order to provide a platform from which local business / entrepreneurs / start ups could learn firsthand from the experiences both good and bad of very successful local business people. The event was very interactive and guests had an opportunity to ask questions throughout the evening.
The key speaker at the event was local businessman Mr Michael Mc Keown, founder of the successful Newry based company Crash Services Ltd. Michael captivated our attention with his insight into how to make a business successful. He shared with us his experience as an Entrepreneur over the last 50 years, walked us through the highs and lows of all his business ventures, and there were many, right through to his well established and highly successful business Crash Services Ltd. He also told us of his future plans and showed no sign of retiring.
