SRC Hospitality Student to Judge the Best of the Best

Award winning Southern Regional College student, Brendan Baxter, will be putting his experience as a competitor into practice as he steps into the Judging line up for the prestigious ChefSkills at IFEX.

Brendan, who has previously won 3 gold medals at the IFEX Professional Chef competition in Belfast, will be judging over 220 competitors at the 3 day competition on 24 - 26 April.

Brendan boasts a long list of awards and was most recently recognised as an Exemplary Student by the Board of Governors at a special celebration evening in December. He was the first Northern Ireland chef to ever reach the finals in the WorldSkills events and will be competing in the next WorldSkills in Germany. He was nominated as a finalist on two occasions for the Young National Chef of the Year. This ensures that Brendan is very well placed as a judge in this culinary showcase.
