Newry Campus is in a great location within easy access to Dundalk, Lisburn, Belfast and Dublin. Newry City is one of the country's foremost shopping destinations with an array of traditional independent traders and multi-national retailers. The city of Newry is one of the constituent cities of the Dublin-Belfast corridor and sits at the entry to the 'Gap of the North', close to the border with the Republic of Ireland. In March 2002, as part of Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee celebrations, Newry was granted city status.

There are four buildings at Newry: East, West, Model and Greenbank. The East and West buildings are on Patrick Street in the city, which focus on a range of subject areas and student facilities. The Model building is located just a short walk from the East and West buildings on Catherine Street and offers mainly care courses, adult access and degrees. The Greenbank building is located in the Greenbank industrial area of the city, two miles from the East and West campuses. The Greenbank building offers mainly Apprenticeship Training.
