The project for which the group was awarded, was reported in the Mail recently and highlighted the major task they undertook in cleaning up the Linear Stream which runs from Ardowen to Enniskeen.

The stream which previously held everything from dirty nappies to bikes and washing machines and was fully contaminated, is now clear with residents who live near the river now enjoying the return of different species of wildlife.

This substantial piece of work was recognised at an award ceremony held recently in the Odyssey Pavilion in Belfast with the team winning the regional award for the successful environmental impact that the work has provided to the local community. The event was compeered by Cool FM DJ Pete Snodden and attended by a number of dignitaries. The audience was also entertained by Britain's Got Talent finalists, Flawless, who the Princes Trust team got to meet after the main event.

Team Leader, Tony Conway said: "The work that these young people have undertaken has been immense and they approached the project as they do all other Prince's Trust initiatives with dedication and enthusiasm. The team are hoping that their work will be rewarded at the upcoming UK final".

The UK final will be held on the 1st March in London in the Odeon, Leicester Square, London and will be attended by the members of the Craigavon Princes Trust Team. The team consists of Andrea Headley, Aine Burns, Aimee Totton, Shauna Farrell, Roy Davis, Matthew, Caroline McCusker, David Wilson, Hanna Breen, Mathew Maguire. Team leaders are Tony Conway, Amanda McBride, Programme Manager Roisin McCorry.
