NICENT Entrepreneurship Awareness

Twenty Three SRC staff members at Southern Regional College have successfully undertaken a NICENT Entrepreneurship Awareness Module. This module allowed participants to build their awareness of entrepreneurship and provided them with a framework for assessing the viability of any innovative project or new venture.

E-Learning methods were employed to good advantage, allowing participants to work at their own pace with the help of a tutor and the encouragement of other participants online.

Successful participants:- Shirley Walker and Tanya McAleenan

Shirley Walker and Tanya McAleenan, lecturers in Hospitality Management both agreed that the Certificate in Entrepreneurship raised their awareness of how important innovation and creativity is and demonstrated that everyone can be entrepreneurial.

Future Training 2011 - 2012

Staff will have the opportunity to undertake Enterprise training which will encourage them to take the role of Enterprising Tutors urging learners to develop a more innovative approach to their work.
