Media Students in Erasmus Visit to Bilbao

A range of Level 3 students from different disciplines which included computing, media, business and travel and tourism at Southern Regional College had a fantastic opportunity as part of an Erasmus funded initiative to take part in the “Move project” to Bilbao, Spain, which is in the Basque region.

SRC Students help with Red Squirrel Conservation Efforts

Southern Regional College Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery students from Newry Greenbank campus have helped out with Ulster Wildlife Red Squirrels United Project.  The students along with their lecturer William McConnell have been a great ally to the red squirrel project by building 20 new squirrel feeders.

SRC Put Tram Back on the Right Track

Southern Regional College staff and students have completed the refurbishment of a tram that had previously lain derelict for decades. The hydro-electrically powered tramway transported passengers and freight between 1885 and 1948.
