Looked After Children and Care Leavers

Southern Regional College offer looked after children and care leavers the opportunity to visit at pre-entry events and provide financial advice and information on student services during the course.

The Southern Regional College Student Services team provide professional advice and assistance for students who may be facing difficulties with costs related to their study or who may be worried about starting a new course, meeting new people and entering a new environment. We understand that a young person who is looked after or a care leaver may face all of these barriers and much more.

What we can offer

The Campus services coordinators at each of our five main campuses are trained and well placed to support the requirements and needs of young people looked after and care leavers. The campus services coordinators are the college designated contacts for young people looked after and care leavers. They provide admissions and pre enrolment support including student finance advice and are also able to arrange confidential advice on careers, counselling and health and welfare matters.

How to contact us

If you are considering applying to the college or already a student attending one of our campuses and require further information, please contact the lead designated contact Raymond Mallon or a member of the campus services team located at the campus at which your course is offered.
