We strongly encourage all staff and students due to come onto College campuses over the next few months to take part in Lateral Flow Testing. Please read


From Monday 10th May the College returned to course delivery, assessment and examination arrangements that operated from the start of the academic year. This easement in restrictions follows the NI Executive’s decision to trigger Stage 2 on the Roadmap to Recovery for Further Education Colleges and the introduction of lateral flow testing for staff and students. All current College Covid 19 safety measures will remain in place including the mandatory wearing of face coverings. Thank you for helping to keep our College safe.


Learning Resource Centres are open for students unable to access online lessons from home. Student Services and limited canteen facilities are also available. Student queries should be directed to Course Co-ordinators. General queries should be emailed to

Brenda has over 15 years experience as a product development manager in the food manufacturing industry and has launched hundreds of new and improved products in both retail and food service within the chilled and frozen categories. Brenda holds a BA Hons in Consumer Studies with a Diploma in Industrial Studies from the University of Ulster. Before joining i3, Brenda worked with a number of food manufacturing companies such as TS Foods Ltd in Castlewellan, a local food company specialising in breadcrumb stuffing products and added value, enrobed products. Brenda also worked with Green-Isle Foods Company, Co. Kildare for 8 years, as the Product Development Manager for Goodfellas pizzas where she successfully developed and launched a range of branded and own-label pizzas and ready meals within the UK and Irish markets. Brenda’s food industry skills benefit food businesses in bringing new product ideas to market. Brenda also mentors businesses in quality management systems, nutritional and technical/legislative queries.

Emma has experience in both New Product Development and Food Quality Systems. She has been involved in the launch of hundreds of products, taking them from initial concept through to market launch. Emma graduated from Queens University Belfast with a BSc Hons degree in Food Quality, Safety and Nutrition. Before joining i3 Emma worked in the New Product Development Team at Deli Lites in Warrenpoint, specialising in Food To Go and the Bakery market .She was a previous Fusion Graduate at Orchard Fresh Foods Co. Armagh, taking the company through their first BRC Audit. She has also worked as a Concept Technologist, in the Marks & Spencer’s chilled ready meal sector, for Bakkavor Co. Lincolnshire. Emma is passionate about product innovation and reformulation, both of which are essential for all food companies in this highly competitive sector.
