Skills Focus

The Skills Focus Programme has been developed to increase the skills levels and employability of employees within the existing workforce. The programme allows a tailored training solution for SMEs to upskill their staff.

The programme is supported by the Department for Economy (DfE) and offers up to 100% off the cost of selected non-mandatory training programmes.

Overview:

  • Open to Companies with less than 250 staff
  • Private sector companies eligible only
  • Support is available for Accredited training at level 2 or above
  •  Southern Regional College can create new programmes to suit your needs
  • Available for a range of accredited courses
  • Delivery can be tailored to meet your company requirements and delivered at your premises.

In support of local businesses, Southern Regional College is delighted to be offering 100% funding towards the cost of selected non-mandatory training through the Skills Focus programme, which is supported by the Department for the Economy (DfE).

To date we have worked with over 450 companies to upskill and retain staff under this programme. We have delivered over £1.6million worth of training to local SME’s and upskilled over 2000 employees across all sectors.

Qualifying Requirements:

  • Open to Companies with less than 250 staff
  • Private sector, NI companies eligible only
  • Must operate for profit and not as a charity or social enterprise
  • Support is available for Accredited training at level 2 or above
