'Swap Don't Drop' Event
Things don’t always work out as planned. No matter how much research and preparation you’ve done, you may feel that your current course isn’t the right one for you. Our Swap Don’t Drop event is an opportunity to speak to College staff about alternative options and the possibility of moving to another course. It’s also an opportunity for anyone who still hasn’t joined a course to look at courses with availability. Most classes have only been running for a few weeks so there’s still time to catch up!
What would you say to students worried about swapping?
It’s completely normal to feel worried if you think your current course isn’t the right course for you. It’s really important that you voice your concerns to your tutor, College support staff, a family member or someone you trust. At SRC we want you to flourish both academically and socially, and this begins with you being happy.
What do students have to do?
Please attend the Swap Don’t Drop event at your campus, Wednesday 30th September. College staff will be on hand to discuss your options and to advise you on the next step. For more information on times and locations, please click here.
Is this open to students from other schools/colleges?
We are encouraging any young person who feels that their current study option isn’t suitable for them, whether that’s with a training provider, local sixth form or other College. We will help to find the most appropriate education pathway for you, to suit your career needs.
