Would you like to gain valuable work experience as well as give something back to the local community and the College?

We are delighted to launch the first Southern Regional College Student Ambassador scheme. As a Student Ambassador you will play a central role in the positive promotion of the SRC brand and its products/services. The role will involve working as part of a highly motivated and professional team supporting the College’s Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment Team.

There are three main aspects of the SRC Student Ambassador Scheme, each with differing responsibilities (see below).

Student Ambassador Roles

Role 1: Digital Ambassador

The role of the Digital Ambassador will be to work alongside the College’s Digital Marketing Officer and Student Engagement Coordinator to engage positively with current/potential students across all relevant social media platforms commenting positively about the College and the student experience from a student’s perspective.

Our Digital Ambassadors should be able to document their student experience through video, written and social media content - sharing their study and social lives at Southern Regional College with new and current students.

Role 2: Communications Ambassador

On many occasions, local and regional media outlets call on SRC to participate in print, radio and television programming. As a Communications Ambassador you will be required in these situations to participate in recorded interviews, promoting the College and student experience positively at all times. You should be able to speak clearly to camera, sharing your experience of life at the College.

Role 3: Events Ambassador

The role of Events Ambassador will involve participation in key college events. This may see you take part in College Open Days, positively promoting the College to potential students and their parents/guardians or you may be asked to participate in student panels for campus events. The range of events offered on campus can vary so you will gain exposure and experience in lots of areas through this role.
