Hair Competition Success for SRC Students

Four students picked up recognition for their designs in the Irish Hairdresser Magazine Mirror Mirror Mannequin Hair Competition:

This competition looks for the best images of Mannequin work from trainees all over the Island of Ireland.
Irish Hairdresser magazine in collaboration with Maeve O’Healy-Harte encourage entries from a trainee in a Salon, a Training Centre, a Technical College or a Private School.

SRC Student Crowned Ireland’s Young Designer of The Year

 

Cara McAleenan, student at Southern Regional College Newry was crowned Ireland’s Young Designer of The Year at the 2018 Wedding Journal Show.

The competition saw 1000’s of entries across the country and two SRC students were selected within the Top 5 finalists of the competition.

Council Meeting Held at Greentec

Newry Mourne and Down District Council, Community Planning Partnership board held a meeting in SRC's GreenTEC building on Tuesday 30th January.

Attending the meeting was Councillor Roisin Mulgrew, Chairperson, Newry Mourne and Down District Council and Liam Hannaway, CEO, Newry Mourne and Down District Council together with members of the voluntary and community sectors and other statutory bodies including Invest NI and DAERA.
