SRC in Gaming Success

Students from the School of Creative Design and Computing at Southern Regional College (SRC) have secured a place in the Grand Finals of the British Esports Tournament at the Insomnia64 Gaming Expo to be held in the NEC in Birmingham in April 2019.

The British Esports Championships is an exciting new competitive video gaming competition for students aged 12-19 in schools and colleges across the UK. The three SRC students competing are Lenard Klamarik from Newry and is studying the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Media, Jonathan Russell from Portadown and is studying the Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT and Ronald Klamarik from Newry who is studying the Level 2 Diploma in Media.

New £35m SRC Armagh Campus On Track For 2020 Opening

Southern Regional College’s new £35 million landmark campus in Armagh is well on track for a grand opening launch in 2020 after reaching another important construction milestone.

Key representatives, including Southern Regional College’s Chief Executive Brian Doran, Neil Madeley from Further Education Division within the Department for the Economy who are providing the funding for the project and Mark Campbell from construction lead Felix O’Hare and Co. Limited, gathered this week at the site to witness the new building reach its highest point.

SRC Banbridge Tea Dance

Southern Regional College, Banbridge Campus held its annual Tea Dance on Wednesday 12th December. This event was organised by the Banbridge Health and Social Care staff and BTEC Level 3 students. The Tea Dance is attended every year by our Special Educational Needs students as well as elderly groups within the local community.
