The SOLVE Centre at Armagh Campus is now home to the LapSafe® solution, a self-service station which allows students to borrow SurfaceGo devices to use within this unique learning space within the College.
SOLVE is a purpose-built area providing a unique space for students to work individually, in small groups and as a whole class with the Project Based Learning (PBL) Officer and their course team on their industry projects.
Lynne Ervine, Project Based Learning Manager said: “The PBL Officer also has operational oversight of SOLVE and this includes managing resources. The College purchased 20 SurfaceGo devices, which really suit the flexible nature of this creative space.
“We are delighted to offer this new self-service solution, which gives students quick and easy access to a fully charged device as and when required without staff intervention. Ultimately this allows the PBL Officer to work with the students without interruptions for requests to borrow or return a device.”
