This course is 75% funded by the Department for the Economy and 25% paid by the employer as part of the Skills Focus Programme. To qualify, your business or social enterprise must have less than 250 employees and you must be based in Northern Ireland and operate for profit.

The Principles of Cloud Computing Level 5 Certificate is an advanced program designed for professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of cloud computing technologies and their application in modern business environments. This comprehensive course equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions effectively.

This course will enable the learner to to design and deploy cloud computing-based applications using a number of vendors to meet the needs of business related IT departments. Learners will understand the constraints and opportunities that the different cloud computing applications can bring to a business. Learners will understand that cloud computing is not just a single entity, but a platform and a range of tools that be accessed anywhere and tailored to suit a particular business requirements.

Throughout the course, participants will explore key principles and concepts related to cloud computing, including virtualisation, storage systems, cloud architecture, security, and scalability. They will also learn about different cloud service models.
