OVERVIEW

This degree programme will prepare you for a career in business management in industry, commerce or the public sector. You will be involved in the use of case studies, experiential and practical exercises, verbal and written presentations, individual and group projects and directed private study.

Typically, weekly contact hours are scheduled for a minimum for 3 hours per module week per semester. Students can study no more than two modules per semester. Student workload usually includes 2 - 3 assessments (a combination of coursework and/or examination) per module. Students are expected to carry out substantial additional reading and research outside of scheduled class time.

Staff on the programme are all well qualified to deliver the programme and have substantial work experience in the areas that they are delivering on.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This is an advanced entry programme and all applications must satisfy Ulster University general entrance requirements and must have obtained a Level 5 HND/Foundation Degree in Business, which meets the exemptions set by Ulster University.

Applicants must have:

  • HND/Foundation Degree in Business or equivalent
  • GCSE Maths grade C or equivalent
  • GCSE English grade C or equivalent
  • Interview required

OTHER FEES

Students will be required to purchase the recommended texts for each module which is approximately £60 per module.

Please note the £497 fee is per module and subject to change.

PROGRESSION

On successful completion of this course, you may progress to senior positions in human resources, marketing, finance and general management, or you may continue your studies by enrolling on postgraduate courses at Newry campus or other universities.

Note: It is the responsibility of the applicant to check each University’s admission and progression requirements before enrolling on a course at the College.
