OVERVIEW
This course will teach you the basic skills of dressmaking including: following a pattern, fabric selection, cutting fabric, finishing a garment correctly to a professional standard. You will also be taught how to use a sewing machine correctly. Complete beginners and those with some experience are all welcome.
On the first day, beginners will be given advice on where to purchase materials, tools and equipment, watch demonstrations, practice using the sewing machine and an opportunity to ask questions, so there is no need to purchase or bring anything on the first day of the course.
For those who have studied dressmaking before, this is an opportunity to extend your skills even further.
