Overview

The Crafts Level 2 course will introduce participants to a wide range of crafts and provide them with the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to explore their creativity and develop proficiency in various craft techniques. This course is suitable for individuals who have a passion for crafts and wish to enhance their skills or pursue a career in the craft industry.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore different craft disciplines and through hands-on projects and guided instruction, they will learn the basic techniques, tools, and materials associated with craft making, enabling them to create unique and personalised pieces.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however it is important that participants have a passion for developing skills in craft making.

Creative Craft Skills
Develop Ceramic Techniques
Develop Floral Crafts
Developing Garment Construction Skills
Making Mosaics
Produce and Present Item(s) of Jewellery
Textiles Design Skills
Textiles Workshop
Embroidery Techniques
Silversmithing Techniques

Assessment of this course is 100% portfolio based.

Learners may wish to progress onto other art and design related courses in the College, which range from short recreational courses to higher education.
