Overview

This course introduces participants to a range of hand building, moulding and finishing techniques suitable to make both complex functional ceramic pieces as well as sculptural objects. Participants will explore a range of techniques, slab building, working with plaster and press moulds as well as a variety of glazing and finishes.

By the end of the course students will have produced a number of pieces in clay and will have developed their creative and practical skills using this material. Students will also be encouraged to develop their own self-directed projects throughout the course. This course is suitable for beginners and those with previous experience.
