About Us
The Business and Economic Engagement (BEE) unit at Southern Regional College (SRC) delivers outstanding support to local businesses and communities, making a significant contribution to the local and regional economy.
BEE is underpinned by 3 pillars of support:
- Innovation and Knowledge Transfer
- Skills Solutions for Industry
- Community and Inclusive Workforce Development
The BEE unit houses a team of specialist staff who stimulate business innovation, productivity and upskilling through a range of business support services. The team also supports employers with the recruitment of Higher Level Apprentices.
BEE also works collaboratively and in partnership with key stakeholders to co-design and deliver training and employability solutions. BEE works in the hearts of communities and delivers a number of interventions to support those furthest removed from the labour market, supporting them with a wide range of training and employability interventions to remove barriers to education, training and employment.
Working together with industry and communities, BEE is committed to strengthening the labour market, increasing business innovation and driving local economic growth.
