Enhanced Investment Zone
The Enhanced Investment Zone (EIZ) programme is supported by UK Government Ministers and the Northern Ireland Executive. It is led by the Department for the Economy (DfE), with Invest NI(INI) and the Skills and Education Group (SEG) as key delivery partners.
SRC will support the Advanced Manufacturing sector as part of the programme.
EIZ interventions are being developed and delivered across four core themes: Business Support, Research & Innovation, Infrastructure and Skills. Interventions will be open to eligible Advanced Manufacturing companies across the whole of Northern Ireland. Delivery partners are working closely with industry, academia, and other stakeholders to ensure interventions demonstrate support for our priority sector and clusters and deliver economic impact across Northern Ireland.
The EIZ will also support the delivery of the Minister’s economic priorities, including the creation of good jobs, improved regional balance and increased productivity.
Advance ME Further
The Advance ME Further programme supports skills development, training and employment in Northern Ireland’s Advanced Manufacturing sector. Funded by the UK Government, it is delivered by Southern Regional College online and on-site.
Inclusive Edge
The UK Government-funded Inclusive Edge programme supports economically excluded individuals to gain Level 3 qualifications in engineering, digital and business skills, helping address skills shortages and strengthen Northern Ireland’s Advanced Manufacturing workforce.
