Overview

To qualify for Skills Focus, your business must have less than 250 employees and you must be based in Northern Ireland. Programmes are available to private sector companies and eligible social enterprises.

The OCN NI Level 5 Certificate in Artificial Intelligence provides learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to understand, develop and apply Artificial Intelligence techniques across a range of contexts. Learners will explore machine learning, neural networks, probabilistic reasoning, data structures and AI problem-solving techniques while examining the professional, ethical and legal issues associated with AI technologies.

This industry-relevant qualification is designed for individuals wishing to develop specialist AI skills, enhance their career prospects and prepare for further study in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Digital Technologies. The qualification consists of one specialist unit, Artificial Intelligence – Principles and Applications

The College will review the qualifications and/or experience held by applicants and will consider whether this profile demonstrates an ability to successfully complete the programme.

Applicants should:

Hold a Level 3 qualification in Information Technology, Computing, Software Development or a related discipline.
Demonstrate a satisfactory standard of written and spoken English.
Have an interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and emerging digital technologies.
Demonstrate motivation and commitment during the pre-entry interview process.
