The Business Studies BSc (Hons) Degree validated by Ulster University is a comprehensive degree designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse aspects of the business world. This degree course focuses on equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in a dynamic and global business environment. This degree programme will prepare students for a career in business management in industry, commerce or the public sector.

Throughout the course, students will develop a solid foundation in key business disciplines. They will study subjects such as quality management, business strategy and global management, and gain an insight into the functions and interdependencies of various business areas, enabling them to understand the holistic nature of organisations.

Students will engage in real-world case studies, projects, and simulations to apply their knowledge and develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. They will analyse business scenarios, make informed decisions, and develop effective business strategies. Students will also enhance their communication, teamwork, leadership, and presentation skills through collaborative projects and presentations.

Typically, weekly contact hours are scheduled for a minimum for 3 hours per module week per semester. Students can study no more than two modules per semester. Student workload usually includes 2 assessments (a combination of coursework and/or examination) per module. Students are expected to carry out substantial additional reading and research outside of scheduled class time.

This programme is designed to provide students with a well-rounded business education. Throughout the course, students will be supported by experienced faculty who are experts in their respective fields. They will benefit from a supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and the application of business principles in real-world contexts.
