Overview
This level 2 award will allow learners to develop the core knowledge and understanding required for working in the area of early years. It introduces the principles of child development, safeguarding, and the role of the early years practitioner. Learners will explore how to support children’s wellbeing, learning, and play, as well as develop an awareness of the professional skills and responsibilities required in early years care and education.
This is an introductory level programme which is a stepping stone to certificate and extended certificate programmes within early years. Learners do not need to be working or undertaking a placement in early years setting.
This course consists of one face to face class per week totalling three and half hours and online learning of three hours per week.
