Overview
The Level 3 Site Carpentry (Construction) Apprenticeship is a thorough programme that equips aspiring site carpenters with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the construction industry. It provides practical, hands-on experience for those interested in carpentry, helping them develop technical expertise in manufacturing and installing timber structures and components on construction sites.
It has been developed so learners can achieve the qualification in a training environment, which means that they do not need to be employed to undertake this qualification.
Throughout the apprenticeship, participants will engage in a wide range of activities related to site carpentry, including interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting timber, constructing frameworks, installing doors and windows, and compliance with safety regulations. They will learn about different types of timber, tools, and techniques used in the construction industry.
