The Business and Economic Engagement team were delighted to host a delegation from the Canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, at the Graduate Restaurant, Newry on Tuesday morning for a business breakfast in collaboration with Newry Chamber. The event brought together local Newry businesses and Swiss delegates to share insights, discuss innovation, strengthen international connections, and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
Working alongside Newry Chamber, the breakfast highlighted the strength of the local business community and the value of building connections between industry, education, and international partners. During the visit, Southern Regional College showcased the strong collaboration between industry and academia across the greater Newry area, highlighting the range of support available to businesses, our cross-border and international partnerships, and plans for the new Innovation Centre currently under construction in Newry.
Thank you to our Swiss guests for visiting, to our local businesses for taking the time to present to the delegation, to all the local Newry businesses who attended, and to Declan Barry and Kurt Milligan from ExportExplore for facilitating this visit. We look forward to continuing to develop relationships with the Neuchâtel region and creating opportunities that benefit both local businesses and our students.
