On Tuesday 17th June, the Higher Level Apprenticeship (HLA) Team at Southern Regional College hosted an Employer Information Session to introduce the new Business Higher National Diploma Higher Level Apprenticeship, launching in September 2025.

Held at the College’s Newry West campus, the event was attended by a mix of new and returning employers keen to learn more about this exciting opportunity.

The session provided a valuable chance for employers and prospective partners to meet the HLA Team, explore the course structure, and understand the recruitment process involved.

The morning began with an insightful introduction to Higher Level Apprenticeships and how recruitment works, followed by an in-depth look at the course content, progression pathways, and career prospects—delivered by our expert curriculum staff.

A special thanks goes to Andrew Robinson from Combilift, who returned to share his experiences as a former Business HND student at SRC. Andrew spoke about his academic journey, how he applied his learning in the workplace, the benefits he gained from the course, and his ambitions for the future.

We’d like to extend our thanks to everyone who attended and made the event such a success.
