SRC Business Support and Innovation was delighted to support the She Leads: Women Shaping Economies Afternoon Tea, held on Friday 5th September at the Fairways Hotel, Dundalk. The event brought together over 170 guests for an afternoon of empowering conversations, cross-border collaboration, and a celebration of women in leadership, all while raising vital funds for local women’s charities including Women’s Aid Armagh Down, Women’s Aid Dundalk, Drogheda Women & Children’s Refuge and Meath Women’s Refuge & Support Services.
Organised collaboratively by six Chambers of Commerce, each led by a female Chamber President, the event marked a historic partnership between Newry Chamber, Dundalk Chamber, Drogheda Chamber, County Meath Chamber, Lisburn Chamber of Commerce and WBR Chamber of Commerce.
The afternoon was guided by Denise Watson and featured three panel discussions covering politics, small business and large business. The political panel, with Minister Liz Kimmins MLA and Louth TD Paula Butterly, highlighted the importance of visibility in leadership. The small business panel, with Sarah McAvoy, Caroline Duffy and Tina Calder, explored resilience and the ability to adapt and redefine through challenges. The large business panel, with Jackie Reid, Orlaith Blaney and Sandra Byrne, addressed breaking barriers in business and supporting others on the path to leadership.
SRC Business Support and Innovation was delighted to be among the sponsors supporting this important initiative, which brought together six Chambers, six female Presidents and one powerful collaboration.
