Overview

This course offers exploration of a diverse range of techniques and materials, including drawing and painting from various sources such as observation, memory, imagination, sketchbook material, or photographs.

It is designed to accommodate students of different skill levels, from beginners to more experienced artists. It provides an excellent opportunity for participants to develop their skills as well-rounded art practitioners, while also enjoying the social aspect of the course.

: There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Students should be prepared for the class and bring a selection of brushes and media that they choose to work in. On or before the first day of the course, the tutor will provide guidance and information on what to bring to class in subsequent weeks, including any required equipment or materials.
: Participants will have the chance to work with charcoals, pastels, water-based media and oil paints. The course also covers colour theory and practice, with a combination of projects, exercises, individual study projects, and advisory sessions.
: There are no formal assessments on this course.
: This course includes a small materials fee that covers basic supplies needed for your learning.
: Enjoy another course from our range of recreational art and design courses or progress to an accredited crafts course.
