Overview

This course is a beginners guide to working in a recording studio.

It is aimed at musicians and music creators who are interested in understanding how a professional recording studio works. Students will discover the key equipment used in todays recording studio and understand how to plan and make a professional studio recording.

Applicants should be a practicing musician or producer
This course requires a basic understanding of music to enable effective use of the studio facilities
This course is a suitable support for A-Level and GCSE music students
Applicants should be aged 16 or above

Students will study multi-track recording.

Students will be assessed via coursework.

Students can progress to:

Level 3 Creative Arts & Digital Technologies (Recording Studio 301) (part-time)
Level 3 UAL Extended Diploma in Music Performance and Production (full-time)
Level 5 Foundation Degree in Creative Music and Audio Production (full-time)
Level 6 Top-Up Degree in Creative Music and Audio Production (part-time)

This course will enable individuals to pursue various job roles within the creative arts and digital technologies industry.
