Overview

The Floral Craft Level 1 Award is an introductory programme designed for individuals who wish to explore the art of floral design. This course provides foundational skills and knowledge in creating beautiful floral arrangements, making it ideal for beginners and hobbyists interested in developing their creativity and craftsmanship in floral artistry.

This course is designed to introduce you to all the basic floral design styles including flower arrangements, hand tied designs and wired work. You will learn how to care for the flowers and foliage and gain insight into the best tools and equipment to use.

No prior knowledge or previous courses are required for entry onto this programme.

Modules include:

Being able to use ideas to inform the floral design process
Being able to demonstrate floral craft skills
Being able to undertake basic floral craft projects

Assessment is portfolio based and will be carried out on a weekly basis. Through class demonstrations and floral designs, students will collect a range of evidence that will be captured in photograph form and incorporated into a project booklet showcasing your designs.
