Students from the Level 2 Media and Level 2 IT courses at our Newry campus recently travelled to Sky Studios in Dublin to take part in the Sky Up Academy Studios media workshop.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to step behind the scenes of a professional television studio and experience how broadcast media is created. Working in small production teams, they took on real industry roles such as presenters, camera operators, sound technicians, and directors, producing their own short news-style programme in the Sky studio environment.
The workshop allowed students to gain valuable hands-on experience with professional equipment while developing key skills in communication, teamwork, creative thinking, and media production.
