Overview
This qualification equips learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to assess the energy performance of residential properties. Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) carry out property surveys, collect building data, and produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), helping homeowners, landlords, and housing professionals understand and improve energy efficiency.
The programme covers key areas including building construction, energy efficiency measures, data collection, regulatory requirements, and the use of specialist assessment software. Learners develop the competence to accurately evaluate domestic properties and provide evidence-based energy performance ratings in line with current industry standards.
Upon completion, participants are qualified to work as Domestic Energy Assessors, supporting sustainability initiatives, reducing carbon emissions, and helping households improve energy performance and lower energy costs.
