Overview
This Level 3 Award provides learners with an understanding of the knowledge needed when working directly with children and young people in a school or college environment. It will enable learners to gain an understanding of elements including children and young people’s development and safeguarding their welfare.
If you are considering changing career or want to start your learning journey into becoming a classroom assistant, then this is a perfect starting point.
This is a knowledge only qualification that will allow students to continue working and decide if becoming a classroom assistant is the right career pathway. There is no placement needed to complete this qualification.
This Level 3 Award can be delivered using a hybrid approach; some classes taught in College with the remainder delivered online. Alternatively it can be delivered over one full day in College for a period of 8 weeks.
