Southern Regional College’s new £15 million landmark campus in Banbridge is well on track to opening its doors to students this September after reaching another important construction milestone.

Key representatives, including Southern Regional College’s Chief Executive Brian Doran, Economy Minister Diane Dodds, whose Department is funding the building work, and Martin Lennon from construction lead O’Hare & McGovern, gathered this week at the site to witness the new building reach its highest point.

Preparations for the SRC Cook Off have begun! Southern Regional College is delighted to be hosting an employer engagement event with 2 teams battling against each other to win the coveted title! Over 120 local Hospitality and Tourism businesses in the NMDDC & ABC council areas have been invited to attend this special evening of entertainment. Both teams are practicing their skills in the kitchen for the event on 28th January 2020.

The Marketing and Communications Team at Southern Regional College has won the WorldSkills UK Diversity and Inclusion Heroes Award – Social Media Campaign of the Year 2019 at its inaugural ceremony held at the NEC in Birmingham. WorldSkills UK, in partnership with Coca-Cola European Partners, launched these awards to honour and celebrate individuals and organisations who are championing diversity and inclusion within their organisations and the technical education sector

Southern Regional College students from the AB English and History degree are preparing to launch their fifth annual Interdisciplinary Conference in Arts and Sciences (ICAS) at the College’s Newry campus. The two-day conference will take place on Friday 31st January and Saturday 1st February 2020 and delegates will hear from speakers on a wide range of disciplines ranging from the subject of archaeology to psychology, political philosophy, anthropology and any topic that connects us as a species.
